THE EREMO
ISPIRIRING RESIDENCE AT 35 KM FROM ROME |
Inhabited by monastic communities for close to 800
years until the early 20th century. In recent years it has been beautifully restored by
the owner and host, Simona.
The monastery has a large cloistered garden with swimming pool
(16 x 8 metres) and is immersed in 22 hectares of great chestnut woodland. It is made up
of a complex of buildings which collect around the garden and the cloisters. Large halls,
some with vaulted ceilings. Large stone fireplaces. A dining room (St. Anthony's wing)
which faces onto a rear cloister, sacristy and the great kitchen. Refectory, dining area
(St. Benedict's wing). Central heating everywhere. |

- Living rooms (2) : comfortable seating for 11 people. Great fireplaces.

3) THE EREMO
(St. Benedict's plus St. Anthony's wings):
The monastery can be rented as a whole
Commercial:
- General: central heating * maid service (3 half days/week included in the rent) *
telephone (metered charges)* linen provided and changed weekly .
Booking periods: preferably Sat. to Sat. There may be an extra charge for part
weeks.
- Meals: available at $24 extra including wine.
Culture, health, entertainment:
- Sport: Seven golf courses 20-60 mins. away. * mountains and ski-ing 90 mins. * 2 sports
centers 2 and 9 km (gymnasium and fitness, 5 a side soccer, tennis, sauna) * horse riding
5 km.
- Walks: wonderful walks from outside you doorstep, in the nearby WWF nature reserve (also
bird-watching) and also nearby Mount Soratte.
- Spas and water: Lakes 30 minutes * seaside 40 mins.* acquaparks 30-60 mins.* spas and
thermal baths 30-60 mins.,
- Hosted exploration: half or full day can be arranged by appointment with the host and
